I came across this great article on travelling by Paulo Coelho, the author of The Alchemist. I agree with some of the things he says but not with others. I really do enjoy going to museums, I don’t hang out in bars but everything else is great.
I agree that the value of travelling comes from the experiences you have and the people you meet. It is the new foods, sights and sounds that make you a new person. I love travelling and I try not being a tourist. I try seeing the world through new eyes. My next trip will hopefully be as exciting as the boy in Morocco. Trying to learn the language of the desert.
